PEMFC-Stacks.

To evaluate and classify your fuel cell architectures, we offer the design and manufacturing of short stacks. Here, there are virtually no limits to the materials and architectures used.

Short stacks are ideal for evaluating fuel cell architectures without needing to manufacture a full stack with up to 300 individual cells. They save costs, time, and money, providing an ideal way to assess the system behavior of the future fuel cell stack.

We design and manufacture our test cell stacks according to your specifications and material preferences.

Short stacks allow scientists and engineers to investigate the efficiency, reliability, and durability of fuel cells under various conditions and configurations before deploying them in larger systems. Cost and time efficiency are central to this approach.

Why Short Stacking?

1. Research and development

A short stack allows for the examination of fuel cell behavior under various operating conditions without the need to build and use a full stack. This helps save costs and time. Through testing, the performance of individual cells or a small group of cells can be evaluated, which is beneficial for assessing the performance of the eventual full system.

2. Fault diagnosis

If issues arise in a full stack, it can be challenging to identify the exact cause. With a short stack, specific components can be isolated and tested to pinpoint the problem more accurately.

3. Optimization

Because the construction and handling of a short stack are simpler, it can be used to test various configurations and determine the best materials, designs, and operating conditions for fuel cell efficiency.
